The Killing of Two Lovers, Those Who Wish Me Dead, and the Wayne Clingman interview

It's almost vacation time in The Basement, with Jason and Shawn taking a much-deserved break. But not before they unleash one more podcast... From The Basement! And the Dynamic Duo have a good one in store for listeners, with even more of our interview with true-crime author Wayne Clingman, and a trio of reviews for your ear holes. Wayne Clingman has made a name for himself in the indie publishing world tackling mafia lore in the Milwaukee and Chicago area. What got him interested in this subject, has it ever put his life at risk, and just how much does he know about mob and drug cartel activities? Stick with us! Stick with us you shall, as Jason takes on the acclaimed family drama (you read that right) The Killing of Two Lovers starring Clayne Crawford of TV's Lethal Weapon and Rectify. He also places Angelina Jolie's thriller Those Who Wish Me Dead on the chopping block. Meanwhile, Shawn does battle with the first two seasons of Netflix's Love Death + Robots. Yup. Bot...

Clayne Crawford's The Killing Of Two Lovers gets a trailer, release date

Having been a fan of Clayne Crawford's since his two-year run on Lethal Weapon, I've been keen to check out his latest project, the thriller The Killing of Two Lovers. COVID put a pretty big monkey wrench in the film's release, or so it seems, after an acclaimed debut at Sundance earlier this year. But now we've got some news to share. The Killing of Two Lovers has been picked up by Neon, and scheduled for release on Feb. 23, 2021. This make it eligible for awards season and, if the above trailer is any indication, the film should be a shoe-in for several. Written and directed by Robert Machoian, the film stars Crawford, Sepideh Moafi and Chris Coy in what promises to be an honest, powerful and sometimes brutal portrayal of a marriage falling apart. Not our usual pint of ale here in The Basement, but one I know I'm curious to see. Source: Neon

The Exchange acquires Clayne Crawford's The Killing of Two Lovers

Good news for Clayne Crawford fans eager to see his latest film, The Killing of Two Lovers; it looks like you'll get the chance sooner rather than later! Word has dropped Los Angeles-based The Exchange picked up the Sundance hit for worldwide sales rights, and are currently introducing the film to U.S. and international buyers. The Killing of Two Lovers is written and directed by Robert Machoian. Crawford stars as David, who desperately tries to keep his family of six together during a separation from his wife. The parents agree to see other people, but David struggles with his wife's new relationship. Sepideh Moafi, Chris Coy, Avery Pizzuto, Arri Graham and Ezra Graham also star. Congrats to Crawford, Machoian and company on this. Getting a film made is only half the battle, and we wish them much success as The Killing of Two Lovers reaches distribution. We in The Basement look forward to seeing it! You can keep up with the film via Twitter and Crawford's offi...

First clip from Clayne Crawford's The Killing of Two Lovers appears online

I became a Clayne Crawford fan in 2016 when I saw the movie Spectral, and caught the TV adaptation of Lethal Weapon, within a week of each other. I found him to be a talented and committed actor. There's no way a Lethal Weapon TV series should've worked, but it did -- largely due to his turn as Riggs. The fact the series died a rapid death after this departure backs up my previous sentence. Crawford has a new movie set to debut at Sundance Film Festival tomorrow called The Killing of Two Lovers. A clip appeared online today, and we've got it for you. Check it out: What's it about? David Desperately tries to keep his family of six together during a separation from his wife. They both agree to see other people, but David struggles to grapple with his wife's new relationship. I'm pretty excited for this one, and look forward to seeing it ASAP. We'll keep you posted on the film now that it's about to hit screens. Source: Clayne Crawford
