Jason and Shawn return . . . again . . . with yet another revival episode! Yes, they've had more revivals than Cher. But revivals are all the rage these days, right? I said right!?!?! This time the Basement Boys tackle the supernatural thriller The Autopsy of Jane Doe starring Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch. Do the spooky goings on, from the director of Trollhunter, rate a watch? Stick with us!

A24's The Witch is getting great reviews. Check that, stellar reviews, with some critics saying it's the best horror movie to come down the pike in years. This makes it a must see in my books. And, truth is, Shawn and I have been invited to a screening in Vancouver next week. Whether or not we go depends on travel arrangements etc, but I sure hope one or both of us can pull it off.

The Salem Witch Trials were a notorious period in American history, and over time it's been over-exaggerated to the point where many believe it was some kind of genocide however the amount of deaths that occurred were not extreme. I'm not making light of this horrible time, not at all but with twenty confirmed executions, it certainly was not the all out slaughter-fest that some fables, stories, and lore over the years have instilled in us. The stories are intriguing though, what if there really were witches who were communicating with the dark lord Satan? What if there was some truth to all this?
