The latest trailer for the new season of True Detective dropped today, and it's a doozy.  I say this as a die-hard fan of the first season, which is one of the finest eight hours of TV ever assembled. Like many, I didn't care much for the second season, although its only real crime is it had to follow the first.

That seems to be the latest news surrounding the second season of HBO's acclaimed cop show True Detective , which means the much rumoured about all-female cast was just that -- a rumour. In fact, Colin Farrell  is already on board and Taylor Kitsch is eyed for another role. Vince Vaughn is in early talks to join the show.
