Our boy George Bell reviewed The Possession a couple of weeks back, but seeing how this is a flick we've pimped since season two, I figured I'd give it my own two-cents, for what they're worth. A young girl buys an antique box at a yard sale , unaware that inside the collectible lives a malicious ancient spirit. The girl's father teams with his ex-wife to find a way to end the curse upon their child. Without mixing words, if you've seen one possession flick, you've seen them all. Especially when they are of the PG-13 variety. There's not a lot of blood of offensive material in The Possession, so it lacks the punch of The Exorcist , but it's competently made and acted, so it's not without interest. Actually, the cast sells the movie. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is one of the most underrated actors working today, and Kyra Sedgwick has a total MILF thing going on.
