A bad-to-the-ass bootlegged clip from the upcoming slasher sequel Hatchet III has made its way online! Why is it bad to the ass, you ask? Because it's got a bunch of dude's with guns -- including Derek Mears and Zach Galligan -- attempting to put the smackdown on swamp ghoul Victor Crowley, once again played by Kane Hodder. And Crowley will have none of that. The clip is rough, but awesome. Shawn and I loved the shit out of the first two Hatchet movies, and this will be one to watch when it hits some time next year. This time around a search and recovery team heads into the haunted swamp to pick up the pieces and Marybeth (Danielle Harris) learns the secret to ending the voodoo curse that has left Victor Crowley haunting and terrorizing Honey Island Swamp for decades. We reported just a week or two ago that Hatchet 3 will shoot for a 2013 release date. Now we've got confirmation via HorrorMovies.ca that Victor Crowley himself, Kane Hodder, and his favourite victim Marybeth, Danielle Harries, are also returning for another go-round. We reported more than a year back that writer/director Adam Green was prepping a third film in the saga of Victor Crowley. Now we've received word via HorrorMovies.ca that Hatchet 3 is indeed a go. Kane Hodder, who played the swamp ghost Crowley in Hatchets 1 and 2, let loose during a recent Q&A at Shock-Stock in Ontario that the film would begin shooting in Louisiana at the end of April. He also told the convention crowd that Hatchet 3 will be even more violent than the first two. I'd buy that for a dollar! There's not much more to say at this point other than we'll keep you updated.
