His House has a Blood Vessel so Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight

It's Friday the 13th, so that means it's time to get up to some appropriate shenanigans when From The Basement takes over the Radio NL 610 AM airwaves at 6:05 tonight! Just what kind of appropriate shenanigans would those be? Well, this is technically a movie review/entertainment show, so do the math. Psych! But there are movies to be discussed, not the least of which are new Netflix's entries His House and Nobody Sleeps in the Woods tonight. His House has achieved quite a bit of acclaim, and is supposed to be darn scary. Is this really the case, or is it just hype? Stick with us! And stick with us you will for even more reviews, including the Nazi-vampire flick Blood Vessel, the entertainment rundown for the week ahead, and those appropriate shenanigans we keep talking about. Oh, and one half of the Dynamic Duo might have a man crush on Gerard Butler. Maybe. You can hear it all be tuning in at 6:05 tonight via the 610 AM dial, or the handy Radio NL link to your right.

Review: The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

I've never been much a cartoon person but, having a kid, you quickly become one, whether you want to or not. Fortunately, there's a few gems out there that make enjoying cartoons easier. 2014's The Lego Movie is one of the few animated films outside the Pixer line that I quite enjoyed. And I'm happy to say it's sequel, aptly titled The Second Part, more than lives up to the first. In fact, it exceeds it, and does so quite nicely.

RoboCop reboot outgrosses The Lego Movie

To be clear, the RoboCop remake made $2.8 million on it's opening day , which was a Wednesday , while The Lego Movie took in $2.1 million, it's sixth day of release. There are a couple of ways to look at this. One, the reboot beat out the No. 1 movie in American , which made almost $70 million in three days. If The Lego Movie, which has uber strong word of mouth and is loved by everyone I know who's seen it (child and adult alike) then RoboCop could do quite well this weekend. Thursday and Friday numbers will tell the tale.
