In times like these, it's not a bad idea to fall down an interesting rabbit hole. And there aren't many rabbit holes quite like Tiger King.
This docu-series tells the story of Joe Exotic and the strange, narcissistic world of private tiger zoos. This series is full of some of the most interesting, strange, and least self-aware people I've ever seen. Stranger than fiction doesn't come close to describing these people.
The main focus is of course Joe Exotic and his rivalry with Carole Baskin; another notorious big-cat owner. Each of them believes they know the right way to care for their animals, and will do anything to succeed over the other. Carole is especially interesting, as she may have murdered her husband to build her cat "empire."
All of the real-life characters in this resemble cult leaders, using their animals to amass followings, and take advantage of people. This series is quite a ride; feel free to dive down the rabbit hole. It's a Good.
