Mike Flanagan's The Haunting of Hill House might not have been a faithful adaptation of Shirley Jackson's novel, but it definitely delivered all the goods one would want from a top-notch horror TV series. Hence many are excited for Flanagan's follow up, The Haunting of Bly Manor. Us among them.
This series is inspired by the 1898 Henry James novel The Turn of the Screw, as well as elements from many other James stories. And it brings back Hill House alumni Henry Thomas, Victoria Pedretti, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Kate Siegel.
As you can tell from the trailer above, this one promises plenty of creepy visuals and old-school scares, which Flanagan has mastered to a T! Just how good it turns out remains to be seen, but we'll know for sure when The Haunting of Bly Manor hits Netflix Oct. 9.
What else happens Oct. 9? From The Basement return to the mighty Radio NL 610 AM Kamloops, that's what!
